Yesterday the Snowman and the travel companion had the honor to pick up a colleague for a lunch in town. It was just the fellow who said earlier that he should wear an old gentleman's country cap as he travels in the Snowman. After having lunch at one of the city's Asian restaurants, we went to a nearby gentlemen outfitter.
In the shop the colleague got one of the clerks to retrieve a bunch of appropriate country caps from the stockroom. After a short consideration, the fellow made his choice and bought a dark gentleman's country cap in fine-ridged corduroy. I thought that my colleague just were kidding around with the talk about the old gentleman's country cap, but I did really misjudge that.
