My inspiration to write on the blog have not been particularly great in the past week. I have some unfinished major notices which, among other things is about my first impressions of the Snowman and a little about his technological features. I need to polish a little bit on these posts and have the opportunity to take some pictures to illustrate some details.
While waiting for the inspiration and opportunity to present themselves, you will have to be satisfied with looking at some pictures I have taken through the windscreen of the Snowman. The subjects of the images are all from the small community where I live, the village of Mullsjö.

Time flies
Now it has been quiet here on the blog for a few days again. Time goes way too fast and I have been busy. Mostly the work but also some private things. The other day I was thinking a little about that time passes by so insanely fast. I was out and did some fun-driving with the Snowman in the neighborhood where I as a child cycled around about thirty years ago. Today's pictures below show some of these neighborhoods.

Frozen water #2
Sweden's second largest lake and the fifth largest in Europe, Vättern, is at the moment covered with mirror-like ice. Although the ice on the lake can be treacherous and that it can quickly crack up, there were many people out there on the ice this weekend. To skate on a completely blank lake is a powerful experience, I promise. I took some pictures overlooking the lake and below you can see some of these.
Frozen water #1
The lake, Mullsjön, in the community where I live has now been frozen for a while. This weekend I took some pictures of the snow covered lake and the people who were out on the ice and jig fished.

Garage entrance
Yesterday I had a day of relaxation and among other things I had lunch with my parents. I took quite a few pictures yesterday and below shows some of these. In this case, some pictures of the Snowman parked in my parents' garage entrance.
Office view
The other day I took a few pictures from my office. In one of the pictures below, the focus is on the Snowman, as he stands in the parking lot. The other two images show the views of the lake Vättern that I have from my office window.

Mishap
Yesterday when I was on my way to work I watched a little accident. Since no human seemed to have been injured, I took the liberty to take some pictures of what it looked like shortly after the incident. In the pictures below you can see a few odd ruts in the asphalt and then a strangely parked car together with a demolished lamppost.

Doldrums
It has been calm here on the blog for a few days. I have not had the time and inspiration to write something. The days have been filled with work and no time really to enjoy myself with the Snowman. Now it is soon weekend again so I will see if I can find something to write about.

Farewell, the 82nd
It is quite strange how attached I can become to some cars that I owned. Today the car dealer had put out a sales ad on my previous car, the 82nd. I got a little sentimental when I looked at the ad images. It has not been difficult emotionally to trade-in some of the cars I have owned, but for others it has really been that.
After some initial hassles, the 82nd has been the absolute best car I have ever owned. Fuel efficient, comfortable and fun to drive. I hope that the next owner also will have a positive experience with the 82nd. Below are some pictures of the 82nd taken by me on the trade-in day and also a few pictures from the car dealers recently exposed ad.

Matters of size
Monday most often means that it is a working day for the travel companion, and today was no exception. The Snowman had to transport the companion to the office and then wait patiently outside in the parking lot. Today a colleague had parked his Honda CR-V next to the Snowman and I could not resist taking some pictures.
I have previously thought that the Snowman is a fairly small and compact SUV, but when compared to a Honda CR-V the Snowman actually felt not that small. It is probably the rectangular body shapes of the Snowman that tricks the eye a bit. There is not yet very many snowmen to find here in my region. This is noticeable because I have seen a lot of motorists and pedestrians throw an extra eye on the Snowman when we are passing by.
Tonight when I came out from the local supermarket, there was a man and a woman looking carefully at the Snowman. The man apologized and said that he never had seen a Skoda Yeti before and then both the man and the woman had some questions about the available engines, drive trains, equipment, and prices. It has never before happened to me that some unknown persons have come forward and talked about a car I have owned. The Snowman clearly generates different emotions.

Brighter times
It is an undeniable feeling that now we are at last moving towards brighter times. Today was a really brilliant winter day. After a lunch with my parents I took my father out on a little Sunday trip. We went in particular to the nearby ski slopes Knaggebo that is currently invaded by the Danes.
I photographed a little bit in different places during the day but the bright sunlight probably made the most of the images in need of editing before they can appear on the blog. Later in the afternoon, at sunset, I went out again with the Snowman to now test my digital camera's movie function. Below are some pictures taken today.
